We need to talk about Die Hard.

I must answer the age-old question after finally watching it for the first time. I know I'm going to take a lot of shit for saying I haven't seen it before today, but better late than never. Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie. It takes place Christmas Eve, during a Christmas party, most of the songs are Christmas songs (including Alan Rickman's rendition of Let It Snow in the end credits), and the only reason that people claim it isn't a Christmas movie is because that's not the main focus, but rather Bruce Willis fighting German terrorists in a skyscraper. To which I say, bull-fucking-shit, because half of It's A Wonderful Life didn't take place anywhere near the holidays, and that's considered to be one of the best Christmas movies. Like I said, Die Hard is stigmatized just because it's a kick-ass action movie first, and the Christmas part is in the background. I had to get that off my chest. I'm sorry if I sound a little bit heated. Happy holidays, everybody. I love you all. Good
